Overview
The perfect combination of traditional character and a massive ski area. Morzine is the unofficial ‘capital’ and gateway of the enormous Portes du Soleil ski area, which covers 12 resorts in France and Switzerland, with a huge variety of skiing to suit all abilities in the region that has 400km of pistes.
A picture-perfect Savoyard town nestled into the Alps; Morzine is full of traditional chalet buildings and is a bustling centre with plenty of shops, bars, restaurants and more. It is also extremely well connected to the neighbouring towns and ski areas, making it the perfect home base for those who venture out get their ski fix.
Sitting at 1,000ft above the sea level, Morzine is relatively sheltered and rests in the valley, to access the ski area you must ride one of the two main cable cars either up to Avoriaz or towards Les Gets. The terrain that can be found in the higher mountains is world class, with plenty of easy cruising blues and reds for the intermediate skier as well as some brilliant facilities and areas for the more advanced skiers and snowboarders.

Hotel Le Cret
A very popular hotel, Le Cret is owned and professionally managed by several generations of the friendly Coquillard family, offering very high standards of comfort and facilities, a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere and great food.
With just 90 rooms the hotel isn’t huge and is e tastefully decorated and comfortable. have bath, satellite TV, telephone, safe, hairdryer and balcony.
The hotel is conveniently located just 6 minutes' walk (600m) to the Super Morzine lift and 8 minutes' walk (800m) to the resort centre with a free ski bus stops just outside. The hotel has a restaurant, lounge, bar, swimming pool, sauna, Turkish bath (08.00- 21.00hrs), Wi-Fi (free) throughout the hotel and a lift.
