Every Spice Escapes holiday is hosted. A Spice host travels with the group from the airport to the last evening, so nobody sits down to dinner on their own, and the people you meet on day one are the people you are laughing with on the last night. Most of our travellers come on their own. Some are newly single, some have lost a partner, some simply have friends who would rather stay at home. They arrive as strangers and leave with a group chat that is still going at Christmas. The holidays in these pages run through 2027: city breaks and long weekends, ski weeks, walking weeks, cruises and a few once-in-a-lifetime trips. Each one has a date, a host and a price, and the price you see is the price you pay. Your travel agent can book any of them for you, at the counter, with the same protection.

How a Spice holiday works
A host on every holiday
A Spice host meets the group at the airport, knows the hotel and the town, and is there for the whole trip. They are a travelling companion, not a tour guide: the days are yours.
Small groups
Most groups are between twelve and twenty-four people, which is enough to fill a long table and few enough that everyone is on first-name terms by the second day.
Your own room
Many holidays offer a single room for a supplement, shown on the page. Where single rooms are limited, the page says so, and sharing with another solo traveller of the same sex is often possible.
Flights from across the UK
Each holiday lists the airports it flies from and the price from each. Travellers who prefer to make their own way pay the “own flight” price and meet the group at the hotel.
Financially protected
Flight-inclusive holidays are protected under ATOL 9046. The ATOL Certificate is issued when the deposit is paid.

It’s been a few years since we visited Tignes so we thought we should pay a welcome return. Tignes is linked to nearby Val d’Isere and together they make up the Espace Killy ski area offering over 300km of pistes. With such a huge area there is something for everyone; beginners and intermediates will love the many gentle cruising green and blue runs connecting the two resorts and also the long blue into Les Brevieres, a great lunch stop.

Les Arcs together with its neighbour across the valley, La Plagne combine to form the massive Paradiski area, one of the largest ski areas in the world. A combined total of over 425km of pistes plus seemingly endless acres of off piste to explore, the Paradiski area has something for everyone and with over two thirds of the skiing at over 2,000m snow conditions are reliable throughout the season.

Madonna di Campiglio is one of Italy’s top resorts and this will only be the third time Spice Escapes has visited. 150km of picture-perfect piste and superb scenery offer wide trails through wooded valley sides and higher up you’ve got open slopes with peaks all around.
The slopes are mostly tree-lined and a delight for intermediate skiers, but there are also some good beginner areas and some steeper terrain on offer for those less or more experienced.

Hotel Pinzolo Dolomiti (Pinzolo)
Built in 1880, the historic Hotel Pinzolo Dolomiti was one of the first hotels in Pinzolo and is still proudly run by the Bonapace family. Located in the heart of the resort, it offers easy access to shops, restaurants and leisure facilities, making it a great base both on and off the slopes.

The huge Portes du Soleil offers a seemingly endless expanse of runs and no fewer than 12 individual resorts to explore. The skiing is not only expansive, but also includes lots of high altitude in wide open snow bowls above 2,000m, so whenever you travel, the snow follows! There are also plenty of picturesque tree lined runs down to many of the villages including Morzine and Les Gets.

Southern Sardinia Sun & Sea Walking Week with WalkWise
A first for Spice Escpaes and WalkWise International as we head to the Italian island of Sardinia for our Spring walking week. Sardinia is the second largest Mediterranean island and a walker’s paradise being off the beaten-track. The southwest, where we ae basing ourselves for this trip, comprises two great mountain ranges cloaked in dense oak woodlands, the Iglesiente and Sulcis.

Spanish Drawing and Painting Break with Tuition
We head to Northern Spain and your chance ‘brush’ up on your art skills. This will be our forth year offering this break which is perfect whether you are already on your artistic journey or just starting out as our teacher is very experienced at helping all levels of budding artist and most all artistic methods .
