Skiing when you are the one booking on your own

Ski weeks of seven nights, all of them catered rather than self-catering. On a solo holiday that matters more than it sounds: breakfast and dinner happen at a table with other people at it, rather than in a kitchen by yourself. These assume you can already ski or board. Lift passes and ski or board hire are extra on every one of them — booked separately, listed on each holiday — so you can add the real number up before you commit rather than after. What is in the price is the getting there and the staying there: resort transfers, the accommodation, and half board on most of them, meaning breakfast every morning and an evening meal every night. Flights are included outright on some departures and offered on the rest, and each holiday says which it is. The Baqueira week in the Spanish Pyrenees also includes five mornings of guided skiing, which is the closest thing on this page to being shown round a mountain by somebody who already knows it. Sharing a twin with another skier of the same sex costs nothing on top of the price shown. A room to yourself carries a supplement, published on the holiday wherever a figure has been set.
